A New Strong Form Technique for Thermo-Electro-Mechanical Behaviors of Piezoelectric Solids

Piezoelectric materials are widely fabricated and investigated for potential applications in microelectromechanical systems as direct converters between mechanical electrical signals, where some show pyroelectric features involving thermo-electro-mechanical interactions. This study aimed to introduce a novel numerical technique predict the behaviors of piezoelectric structures, based on strong-form framework called element differential method. In this method, shape functions isoparametric their first two derivatives were derived analytically by interpolating temperature, displacement, electric potentials. Then, point collocation method node positions elements was proposed generate final system equations without any domain integrations. Thus, coupled thermal including features, can be simulated formulation governing equations. Several examples, composites presented, responses have been analyzed validate
